Mami y Yo Early Literacy Program
Mami y Yo (Mommy and Me) is an early literacy program geared toward ensuring that children ages birth to four are ready for school. Through fun and interactive classes, the program supports parents and other family members to be their children’s first teachers.
Parenting Classes
Parents are welcome to join these classes in order to strengthen and enhance their parenting skills while building closer relationships with their children. Courses incorporate topics such as parenting techniques, relationship conflict, child development, and dealing with anger. Find out about class schedules here.
Domestic Violence Assistance
The LAA offers support groups and legal and immigration assistance for people who are faced with situations of domestic violence. Salsa, Sabor y Salud
Salsa, Sabor y Salud is a program that emphasizes the importance of maintaining a balanced diet and leading a healthy lifestyle. Moms and children ages 3 to 12 learn about food groups and nutritional values of foods, while engaging in physical activity such as dancing and interactive games.
