Registration Information: 

Just come out and participate! Most classes do not require registration ahead of time. Where indicated, some classes require calling ahead to register.


Classes are offered every week and are offered in monthly sessions (unless otherwise noted)

 

Make payment with the class instructor at the beginning of every session (Walk-in fees are accepted where noted). Cash and checks only are accepted.


If you miss a session or class that you previously registered for, no refunds or make-up classes will be offered.


The class schedule is subject to changes and cancellations. Classes will not be held on the following days in 2010: May 31; July 5; September 6; Nov. 24 and 25; Dec. 23 and 24

Acting for Theater & TV - Starts Aug. 3, 2010

All ages are welcome to learn on-stage and on-camera techniques such as how to become the character, reading and memorizing scripts, monologues, dialogues, costumes, make-up, and more! Students will act on camera and receive feedback.

 

Class meets twice a week (Tues & Thurs) for 2 month sessions

Time: 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.

Cost: $200 / 2 months (16 total classes)

The Art in You - Painting & Drawing Class

Why buy art when you can create your own? Create an original piece yourself in only two classes! Bring your favorite patterns, colors and images and turn them into a masterpiece for your own home. Learn from artist Dennis Assayac, formally educated in Paris, France. No previous experience is necessary – only a passion to learn!

 

Date: Every 2nd and 3rd Saturday of every month

Ballroom Dance Class

Discover the love of dancing in this Ballroom Dance class which includes a wide variety of dance styles: Salsa, Merengue, Cha-Cha, Rumba, Bolero, Waltz, Two Step and the Foxtrot. No experience necessary! This class is perfect for individuals, engaged couples and wedding parties.

Belly Dancing Classes - Starts Again on Monday, Sept. 13, 2010

Stretch and tone the body while learning one of the most ancient and sensual dances in the world! Covers basic movements, technique, combination steps, Middle Eastern rhythms, finger cymbals, and short dance routines.Previous experience is not necessary. Come join us and learn how to shake it like Shakira!

Capoeira - Brazilian Martial Art & Dance - New $5 Rate!  

Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art and dance. Students will learn the basic movement of Capoeira, the ginga, basic kicks and escapes, and the history, philosophy and culture of Capoeira. Class consists of a warm up, group calisthenics, training individual movements and partnered sequences. Students of all skill levels are welcome. Course contains rigorous exercise and students should wear loose fitting, comfortable clothes.

 

          

 

 

Classical Guitar

Always wanted to learn to play the acoustic guitar?  This class is open to beginners or those with previous experience who want to learn the basics.  Bring your own guitar; class taught by Dennis Assayag. 

 

Day: Every Wednesday and  1st & 3rd Saturday of every month

Time: Wednesdays:  5 – 6:00 p.m.    Saturdays: 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Cost: $120 a month (Wednesdays; 4 classes) / $60 (Saturdays; 2 classes)

Kid's Latin Dance

Kids will learn Latin dances in this fun-filled class! They will learn salsa, merengue, boogie and other more styles. Parents can join in too!

Latin Cuisine Cooking Class - Restarts Sept. 18, 2010

Become the cook you’ve always wanted to be! You will learn the basics of dishes from across Latin America, plate presentation and floral designs. Impress all your guests at your next dinner party.

 

 

 

Zumba Atlanta

Zumba is a spicy, upbeat mélange of salsa, merengue, reggeton, bollywood, samba, flamenco, conga lines and other world tempos! This class emphasizes fitness, not complicated choreography.  You will move your body to the pulsating music while you tone and sculpt your body and abs. It's easy, aerobic, and makes anyone look positively CALIENTE! For men and woman in all sizes!  Bring water, wear fitness clothing and exercise shoes.

Time: 6:00 – 6:50 p.m.
