We work with a number of partner agencies who provide services at LAA sites such as free HIV testing, hemoglobin tests, Medicaid assistance, blood drives, and pre-natal classes. See schedules below.

 SunTust Bank Interview Session at the LAA's Atlanta Outreach Center

The SunTrust Bank will be interviewing potential candidates for open positions in and outside the Metro Atlanta Area at the Latin American Association's Atlanta Outreach Center.  

Positions include bank teller and financial sales services representatives. Bilingual candidates (English & Spanish) with experience in a similar field are highly preferred. To apply for teller positions, candidates must have money handling (cashiering) experience. Head teller applicants should have previous teller experience, leadership and supervisory skills.
To apply for financial services representative positions, candidates must have sales experience. Those interested in being interviewed should call 404-982-6896 to schedule an appointment. All candidates must be eligible to work in the United Sates.

Free HIV Testing by AID Atlanta

We offer free and confidential HIV testing that includes pre- and post-test counseling by St. Joseph’s Mercy Care Services. Participants also receive information about medical services provided by St. Joseph’s.

 

Schedule:
Third Wednesday of every month, 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

 

Walk-ins are accepted

 

 

Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) - Dekalb County

The Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) is responsible for welfare and employment support, protecting children, foster care and other services to strengthen families.

 

Schedule:

2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Medicaid, TANF and Food Stamps Assistance
The DeKalb Department of Families and Children Services (DFCS) offers assistance with applications and interviews to apply for food stamps, Medicaid and TANF. *DeKalb county residents only for Atlanta Outreach Center.

2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month, 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

We offer assistance with applications for Social Security cards, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), disability benefits, and lost cards.

Support Group for Lupus in Spanish

This group offers support for patients with Lupus, their relatives and friends.

Diabetes Educational Classes

Emory University Latino Diabetes Program offers these classes free of cost. In this class participants learn how to lead healthy lives and stay active while keeping diabetes under control. Activities include learning how to check blood sugar, how to use medications correctly, reduce eye, feet, heart and kidney problems, and how to manage emotions.

Free Financial Education Seminar

RBC Bank & D&E Power Group will offer a free Financial Education Seminar at the Latin American Association's Marietta Outreach Center. The program will help participants understand how to manage their money, budget, savings and checking accounts. It will also provide information about understanding credit and how to prevent home foreclosure.

SCFG offers free sickle cell screenings.

Prenatal Classes in collaboration with St. Joseph’s Mercy Care

These classes prepare mothers to give birth.  For more information about this class or to register, call the Marietta Outreach center at 678-213-0360. 

 

 

Legal Aid

During these sessions, visitors can meet with attorneys to discuss a variety of legal matters.
